Welcome to Champaign-Urbana and the home page of The Greater Champaign-Urbana Economic Partnership (The Partnership). The Partnership was created in 1995 through a collaborative effort of key community leaders from education, city and county government and area business. The result was a multi-functional marketing and community service organization positioned to facilitate economic development initiatives for the Champaign-Urbana, Champaign County area of East Central Illinois. In the pages that follow, you will find a presentation of many services and resources readily available in our community. Recognizing that Champaign-Urbana, Champaign County is the premier mid-sized community in Illinois, the mission of the Greater Champaign-Urbana Economic Partnership (The Partnership) is to provide leadership in coordinating unified efforts in business development, retention, and expansion; convention and visitor development and retention; and, increase use of the University of Illinois, Willard Airport through local and regional marketing efforts. |
